Yes - A visa is required for travel to New Zealand

A work permit/visa is required to travel to New Zealand for a short-term assignment with an offer of employment in either a New Zealand company or a New Zealand subsidiary of an overseas company.


Passport Requirements:

Original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay in New Zealand, with at least two blank passport pages available for New Zealander visa stamp. Amendment pages in the back of the passport are not suitable for New Zealand visas.


New Zealand Visa Application Form:

One New Zealand visa application form. After placing your order, fill out the application form included in your Visa Application Kit.

Photo Requirements:

Two recent 2 x 2 passport type photographs, in color, front view and with a plain/white background.


Letter Of Invitation:

A letter of invitation from the employer in New Zealand explaining the length of time needed to work in New Zealand. In addition, the letter must guarantee accommodation and living expenses are covered, and provide employer's contact information.


Proof of Travel Arrangements:

Computer generated flight itinerary or copy of airline tickets, or proof of sufficient funds to purchase tickets and a letter from the New Zealand employer guaranteeing that they will meet the cost of return travel back to home country if necessary.


Criminal Record:

Police report or good conduct record provided by the applicant’s local police department and any country you have been in for 12 months or more in the last 10 years.


Medical Requirements:

For a stay of more than six months but less than one year, X-ray Certificate.
Note: Medical requirements may vary depending on length of stay in New Zealand.

Visa Processing Time:
